Come As You Are — An Original Poem

The poem that says what the whole newsletter is trying to say — in the fewest possible words.

Not as you were when you were better. Not as you will be when you have worked through all of this. Not cleaned up. Not figured out. Not post-transformation pre-next-mistake.

Come as you are. Bring the part you have been hiding. The part you are convinced disqualifies you. The part that is tired of pretending to be further along than it is.

Come as you are. The path does not begin when you are ready. It begins when you arrive. And you are already here.

So. Come.

A Note on This Poem

This poem is the front door of the SageWork community. Every person who reads it and feels something move in them belongs here — exactly as they are, in whatever condition they arrived in, carrying whatever they are carrying. The path does not ask you to be better before you begin. It asks you to begin. And beginning, exactly as you are, is the transformation.
